The survivor population includes those diagnosed with dissociative disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other trauma-related disorders. However, those with histories of trauma are often times not willing to work through their mental torment because of the emotional pain involved. In the past, there have been so many men and women who've died - suffering their entire lives, and never understanding why. They left our world before ever coming to know that things could have been different...that there were other options.
Each link on the left provides different information for hopefully helping you to cope with the symptoms of traumatic stress. This information might offer insight into different aspects of functioning after trauma (or disfunctioning, depending on the current quality of your life). Each page of this website has been included in hopes of giving you an idea of how to work through your own issues.
Its been said that victims of abuse and trauma must move on, surpassing the mindset of being victims, to recognize themselves for the survivors that they truly are. That was the hope behind the initial design of this website. But Help4Trauma.org has further been designed with the hopes of providing survivors of abuse and trauma with ways to move past survival, and to work towards discovering themselves. As human beings, as a species, we are all survivors. But its to know ourselves as individuals that separates us from one another. Our past is a piece of us, but it shouldn't define us. Survival is indeed a precious gift, but there comes a point in time when every human being deserves to branch out towards the journey of discovering and reclaiming their true potentials and individual passions.
Please keep in mind that no professionals have been involved in the construction of this website. If you have a trauma-based disorder, or any other trauma related problems, and are not functioning well as a result, it is important for you to seek the assistance of a qualified therapist who can guide you through your healing. This website has been made to provide you with useful resources, coping techniques, and hope for healing along the way
