The National Center for Victims of Crime
This is a nonprofit organization advocating for all victims of crime. They educate child victims about their rights and the recent provisions that have been established to protect them. The National Victim Center has a toll-free number that acts as a referral service for children who have been exploited at 1-800-FYI-CALL.

Child Abuse Information Services - Childhelp USA
This organization is dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused and neglected children. It does this by focusing its efforts and resources on treatment, prevention, and research. Childhelp's comprehensive programs and services include the Childhelp USA National Child Abuse Hotline; residential treatment facilities (villages) for severely abused children; child advocacy centers that reduce the trauma of child abuse victims during the interview and examination process; group homes; foster-family selection, training and certification; Head Start programs for at-risk children; child-abuse prevention programs; and community outreach.

Project 82: National Sexual Assault Report Database
There are millions of sexual assault survivors who don't want to make a face/face report to the police, but who would be willing to come forward if it meant the abuser would go to prison. Using this database, a survivor can make a semi-anonymous report so in the event a detective or prosecutor is investigating a person suspected of sexual assault, the detective or prosecutor can contact the survivor to help convict the suspect.

David Baldwin's Trauma Information Pages
Since 1995 psychologist David Baldwin has compiled voluminous links to articles, handouts and other mental-health resources on a wide array of trauma and stress topics. His extensive Disaster section addresses hundreds of issues relevant to terrorism attacks, from reducing building-safety fears to helping disaster workers cope. The General Support page covers topics like recognizing post-traumatic stress disorder, and lists scores of support groups and therapeutic resources.
